Originally from the south of England, Sarah was ordained as a United Reformed Church minister in 2005 and was inducted to serve in a URC/Anglican/Methodist partnership of congregations in Lancashire.
Sarah trained for ministry at Westminster College, Cambridge and has degrees in Theology & Religious Studies, Pastoral Theology, and Counselling.
Sarah has served as President of the United Reformed Church in Cumbria since 2012 and is passionate about ecumenism and unity as a tool for mission and discipleship. She serves the wider Church as a Trustee of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland, as a UK member on the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches.
Sarah is also a member of the Board of The Young Clergy Women Project, a professional network for young ordained women.
Sarah is primarily involved in the lay training strand of CCL’s work.
