LICC

Over the last year, Reach and CCL have been in partnership with LICC (The London Institute of Contemporary Christianity) to deliver “Imagine Church” days throughout Cumbria. ‘Imagine Church’ encouraged people to think about the ways in which their churches could help people make a difference in their every day lives. Following these days a number of Church Hubs are being developed who will work in partnership with LICC, applying their resources and further developing the vision to become missional disciple making communities. Some of the topics they will explore will be:

  • Preaching and worship-leading: how they can be combined with a frontline lens that prepares God’s people to live fruitful lives away from the gathered community of the church
  • Creating a framework for mission within a frontline focus, looking especially at how we can build intentional relationships with one another that help each of us to grow
  • Exploring the places where we are often involved (whether that be the world of paid or voluntary work) through the lens of vocation, helping people develop a robust theology of such work
