Parish Nursing Ministries Seminar
March 22 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
A seminar for Church Leaders and Health Professionals.
Parish nurses are currently registered nurses who help people of all faiths and none…
…To maintain their health and well-being by providing health education
…To recover their health and wellbeing after surgery or temporary illness
…To remain independent and self-manage any long term condition
…To have as much quality of life as possible in the final stages of life.
They do any or all of the above with an intentional focus on spiritual care.
Parish Nursing Ministries UK are the national infrastructure charity for parish nursing in the UK- providing training, resources and ongoing professional support for nurses and their Churches/Christian organisations.
Bishop James Newcome, Bishop of Carlisle & CofE Lead Bishop on Healthcare writes:
Jesus sent people out to heal and to tell people that the Kingdom of God was near them. Parish nurses work in the community around the church, promoting whole-person health to all, inspired by faith. I warmly commend this seminar to you and hope it will result in more of this inspirational ministry among us.
Revd. Richard Teal, Methodist Chair of Cumbria District writes: Here is an opportunity for our churches to do something to help people stay as healthy as possible with the added ingredient of prayer should they so wish.…Let’s find out more. See you there!
