An Introduction to Pastoral Care

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the forthcoming Pastoral Care module which is part of our Ordinand and Reader training programme.
You may have already covered some aspects of pastoral care and require a refresher, or perhaps you’d like to cover some areas in more depth, you might like to see this as part of your continuing learning and development. It may be that as a Reader you are interested in developing your Funeral Ministry –in which case this module would enable you to take the next step towards being licensed to do so.
Open to Readers, LLMs anyone involved in pastoral ministry
Free for those involved in parish ministry as Reader or LLM
£135 for others to attend as part of a non-validated programme
Sessions:
- What is Pastoral Care?
- Understanding Loss
- Theological Reflection on Funeral Ministry and Liturgy
- Human Development and Wholeness
- Personal Learning, Boundaries and Self-care
Sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings at Church House, Penrith.

May 11 on funeral ministry, at Rydal Hall
