Ordination service on 1st July

Trinity Sunday is never an easy Sunday to preach.

This morning I had the privilege of taking the service at St Andrew’s Penrith and the curate, Mandy Jones, was preaching. Mandy spoke about her first year as a deacon in the Penrith Team and encouraged people to join in the ordination service when she and others will be ordained priest at Carlisle cathedral on Saturday 1st July at 2.30pm.

She related this to the Trinity in that God works in community, and we have a chance to be part of God’s activity. So I look forward to seeing anyone who wants to come at the Cathedral on 1st July (refreshments will be served before the service from 1.30pm).
