Six sessions to have a conversation about mission and re-imagining church.
Our world and our lives change at an ever faster pace. How does the church respond to this change? Are new ways of being church possible? What might they look like? Mission shaped Introduction help us to reconnect with the communities that we are called to serve, taking us on a creative and reflective journey to re-imagine the forms of Church that are needed for the 21st Century and discover how we can refresh the missional DNA of our churches.
mission shaped intro
The six sessions take you on a journey looking at the ever-changing nature of our social communities and explores why the church needs to rethink its approach to those communities in meaningful and relevant ways. The 120-minute sessions are delivered through presentation, movie clips, worship and stories with active group participation. It is ideal for those who are at the start of thinking about mission communities as well as those who are already well on the way.
The director of training for Fresh Expressions, Andrew Roberts, says, ‘Our world and our lives have changed radically in the last 20 years but has the church adapted to this change? This course helps people to focus on the big questions as to whether we need a changed church for a changing world. Are new forms of church really possible? If so, how can they be developed?’
