Revd. Jane Maycock

Having served her curacy in north-west London, Jane came to the Diocese of Carlisle in 1995, since when she has enjoyed a variety of ministries. She has a long-standing desire to help encourage and develop people in their ministry, and has been involved in this in a range of contexts: in parish ministry at Holy Trinity Kendal; as a Director of Ordinands; as a biblical studies tutor at St. Martin’s College Lancaster (now the University of Cumbria; as a tutor for trainee readers and ordinands  with Cumbria Christian Learning’s predecessors, LCTP and CBDTI (the Lancashire and Cumbria Theological Partnership / the Carlisle and Blackburn Diocesan Training Institute), and as a chaplain at Rydal Hall.

In recent years she has written prayer and worship resources for a variety of publications and has had two books published by SPCK Publishing. She is on the steering committee of Cumbria Theological Society.

Alongside the CMD role Jane is working on a doctorate at Durham University, bringing together her twin passions for literature and theology.

Jane is married with four children, enjoys singing, reading, being outside, and when time allows, playing the clarinet and piano.
